The Energy Revolution Gallery is a project by Unknown Works at the Science Museum in London. A collaboration between re.je Architecture, Bauhaus Emerging Technology and Architecture Workshop prototyped and fabricated 30 panels that form the base for an exhibit on renewable energy technologies. The panels are recycled shelving units from the Science Museum's archives, incrementally formed into shapes that are abstracted from the topography of the Orkney Islands in Scotland. A significant amount of testing was done, not only to prove that the method worked with the recycled shelving units, but to also perfect the technique to within the contractors specified construction tolerances.
